Terms and Conditions
The following Terms and Conditions apply
BOOKING DEPOSIT and PAYMENT
Upon booking a cottage a deposit
of 25% of the total is required within 5 working days.
Until this deposit is received by us any reservation is deemed provisional
and as such may be varied or cancelled without prior notice. The balance is due 6 weeks before arrival date.
Bookings made less than 6 weeks before arrival date shall
be paid in full when booking.
We will send you a receipt for any payment and confirmation of the booking.
Payment is preferred by cheque. We can also take credit / debit cards over the phone. We also take American Express, but will add a 2% surcharge.
CANCELLATION by you
In the event of cancellation please advise immediately. Every
effort will be made to re-let the cottage and return your
payment less a handling charge of £30. If unable
to re-let all money will be forfeited. We recommend holiday
insurance be taken out. Failure to pay the balance by the due date may be taken to mean that you wish to cancel your booking. We will normally send you a reminder before taking this as a cancellation. In that event we will retain the deposit and re-advertise, as above.
CANCELLATION by us
In the unlikely event of cancellation by us at any time prior to the start of the holiday the deposit and any other monies paid will be
refunded in full.
We will make reasonable efforts to find alternative accommodation of a
similar nature and price, should you request us to do so. If the only alternative accommodation is of a higher price we reserve the right to charge the difference. We will not be liable for any consequential loss you may suffer or to pay any compensation to you.
ADDITIONAL GUESTS
The number of people occupying the cottage must not exceed the that capacity of our two bedroom cottage
ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE
The accommodation is not available until 4.00 pm on the day
of arrival and must be vacated no later than 10.00 am on
the day of departure, to allow changeover for the next
guests.
KEYS
Keys will be given on arrival. Please remember to return
your keys on departure. A minimum charge of £30 will
be made if keys are lost (to cover the cost of changing
the locks).
CLEANING, DAMAGE, BREAKAGES
The cottages should be left clean and in the same good condition
as found. Any damage or breakage should be reported and
non-trivial damage will be charged to the holiday makers. (The
owners will launder the bed-linen and towels) We reserve the right to charge for 'excessive' cleaning, missing or broken items.
LIABILITY
No liability is accepted by the owners for any personal injury
to guests or any loss or damage to their property. The
management reserves the right to decline accommodation. The management will also demand the immediate withdrawal of any persons not complying
with the conditions, or for any conduct detrimental to
the estate, other people on the site, or any animals (farm or wild).
We welcome children, but they must be kept under adequate supervision and control at all times.
DATA PROTECTION
Any credit card details you give us is only held until the payment has been authorised, normally a couple of hours, then it is shredded and burnt. By agreeing to these terms and conditions you are also, by default, agreeing to us occasionally sending you a newsletter or other correspondence about the cottage. If you would prefer us not to keep the data or send you such information please let us know. No information you give us will be given to anyone else or any company.
